It's an odd statement, I know. Especially when I'm about to write a yearly round-up on Digital Converters but, - and hear me out - 2021 has felt like 2020 Round Two.
Only a lot has happened in the office over the past year (even if it felt like time had frozen). In fact, Digital Converters have had their best year yet. Compared to the previous year, orders have increased by 10 per cent – a success I can only put down to a sharp rise of lockdown spring cleaning!
Our website has also had a major revamp with new services added, and communicating with our fantastic customer service team has only become easier.
So, without ado, let's get into the highlights of DC's 2021:
Out With The Old & In With The New
First and foremost, how can I not brag about Digital Converters' beautiful, retro and fun branding? Feast your eyes on the warming colours and nostalgic vibes shining through the website and products.
Your feedback has been essential for improving the online store. When visiting the website's order pages, you will find much more information on DVDs, memory sticks and cloud downloads. Hopefully, this will help you choose the digital format that best suits your needs.

Turn The Past Into A Present
2021 introduced the magic of gift vouchers to our customers! Converting a family member's videotapes as a present used to feel like walking a tightrope. Thankfully, you don't have to sneak around stealing videos out of your mum's house. In total, the team digitised 89,100 hours of footage. To put that into perspective, it would take over 10 years to watch each precious memory back to back!
Doubling Up
After reviewing those numbers, it comes as no surprise that the cine department has doubled its equipment. As a result, the turnaround time for cine film transfer is as efficient as ever. No thanks to our cine specialists who rose to the challenge of juggling two recording machines at once.
