What do you want to convert?
If you'd like to drop off or pick up your order in person, you can pay us a visit at our facility, but please call or email us first. Additionally, please do not send your tapes or media to this address without making a booking via the website or phone first - as we may not know who they are from.
We are open to visitors Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 5.30pm.
Please note, Barugh Avenue was built in 2018, and does not appear on Google Streetview yet.
There is plenty of free car parking space in front of our building, so you should always be able to find a space.
Digital Converters is located in the small North Yorkshire town of Melmerby, nestled within the beautiful Yorkshire Dales. Our building is on a fairly new industrial estate, just south of Melmerby itself, and just off Melmerby Green Lane.
If you're looking to make a day out of your visit, there's plenty to do in the surrounding area:
Harrogate is just 30 minutes' drive south from us. It's a spa town, famous for its historic Turkish Baths, gardens, and Victorian architecture. When its mineral springs were discovered, the town became a popular retreat for the Victorians and still offers visitors spa experiences. In addition to the Baths themselves, other interesting things to see include the Royal Pump Room Museum, Valley Gardens, and the famous Bettys Café Tea Rooms, which has served locals and tourists since 1919. Harrogate also hosts the annual flower show and offers easy access to nearby attractions like the Yorkshire Dales, making it a central spot for both history and leisure.
5 miles south from our facility, or around a 10 minute drive, you'll find Ripon - which is the 3rd smallest city in England, with a population of just 16,702. Just out of town there is Fountains Abbey, a spectacular ruined Monastery built in 1132, and there's plenty of interesting little places to visit in the town itself, as well lots of very old pubs and quaint little streets full of independent shops.
The Yorkshire Dales is just west of Ripon, or around a 10 minute drive, so only 20 minutes from our offices. The Dales are spectacular, and famous for their distinctive limestone scenery, huge valleys, and network of walking and cycling routes. Popular sites include Malham Cove, a large limestone formation, and Gaping Gill, one of the UK's largest caves. Towns like Grassington and Hawes offer access to local history, museums, traditional pubs, and preserved architecture.
Hambleton Brewery is an award-winning gluten-free microbrewery based on the same industrial estate as we are. They've been around since 1991, and brew a huge amount of different types of beers, all of which can be bought from their shop. The brewery shop is open Tuesday–Thursday from 12–4 PM and Sunday from 10 AM–2 PM.
Ripley Castle, located near Harrogate in North Yorkshire, is a 20 minute drive south from us. It's a historic estate with origins dating back to the 14th century. The castle is privately owned but open to the public, offering guided tours of its preserved rooms, family portraits, and medieval architecture. The grounds include a deer park, walled gardens, and lakeside walks. Ripley Castle has ties to key moments in English history, including the Civil War and is a very interesting place to spend an afternoon.
